Cincinnati Culture
Cincinnati is known as the Queen City and is well deserving of that
name. Students enjoy all of the cultural, recreational and social
benefits of a major metropolitan area which still is able to offer
reasonable prices.
Cincinnati is noted for its activities: opera, symphony, theater,
museums, planetarium, libraries, universities and period architecture.
Cincinnati also boasts professional sports teams and outstanding
university sports teams which often participate in national tournaments.
Xavier University, the University of Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky
University, the College of Mt. St. Joseph, and Miami University are
all within close proximity. Students can enjoy other activities in
the Cincinnati area, including fishing, horse racing, river and lake
sports, camping, skating and skiing.
Cincinnati is the home of various riverboats, which offer an unusual
dimension to local residents, as do the Cincinnati Zoo, Paramount's
Kings Island Amusement Park, and the many shopping malls and downtown
department stores. Whether it is Eden Park with its Playhouse Theatre,
Art Museum, and Krohn Conservatory, whether it is Mount Adams and its
Bohemian lifestyle and specialty shops, whether it is the downtown
with many stores, professional sports, restaurants, or whether it is
the outstanding colleges and universities, the City of Cincinnati has
them all to offer. |
