David Tackett was raised in Pennsylvania and graduated from Penn State University and United Theological Seminary. He is an ordained United Methodist minister and has served churches in PA and Ohio. He is a CCMS graduate and a licensed FD and Embalmer in Ohio and has been on the CCMS faculty since 1996. He is a contributor to the text book “Funeral Service Management” and has multiple articles published in “The Director” and “The American Funeral Director” magazines
David is also Certified Funeral Service Practitioner and a Funeral Celebrant and a member of: Ohio Embalmers Acssociation, Ohio Funeral Directors Association and the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice. In addition to his administrative duties, he teaches in the Business/Management area of the CCMS curriculum and as a clinical instructor. He is married with 2 children and a beagle.
