CCMS currently offers both the
Associates of Applied Science in Mortuary Science (A.A.S.) and a
Bachelor of Mortuary Science (B.M.S.) Degrees.
Associates of Applied Science in Mortuary Science (A.A.S.)
In November of 1980, CCMS received authority from the Ohio Board of Regents to grant the Associate of Applied Science in Mortuary Science (A.A.S.) Degree. The A.A.S. is designed to provide an integrated collegiate background for applicants without college prior to mortuary college.
Classes typically meet 8 AM to 4 PM. If the student has already attended college and wishes to transfer credit toward the A.A.S. Degree, he or she should refer to the Academic Options section of the CCMS catalog.
Bachelor of Mortuary Science (B.M.S.)
In January of 1986, the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science received authorization from the Ohio Board of Regents to award the Bachelor of Mortuary Science Degree, which is a professionally-oriented degree at the baccalaureate level.
The Bachelor's Degree in Mortuary Science provides a full collegiate program for students who have met certain prerequisites in two years of attendance (60 semester or 90 quarter hours) at any regionally-accredited college or university and who have completed five academic quarters at CCMS (90 quarter credit hours).
