Bachelor of Mortuary Science (B.M.S.)

In January of 1986, the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science received authorization from the Ohio Board of Regents to award the Bachelor of Mortuary Science Degree, which is a professionally-oriented degree at the baccalaureate level.

The States of Ohio and Minnesota require a bachelor's degree for licensure. The Bachelor's Degree in Mortuary Science provides a full collegiate program for students who have met certain prerequisites at any regionally-accredited college or university and who complete CCMS's academic requirements listed in the curriculum at the link below.

The CCMS B.M.S. program provides students a real-world experience in a funeral home chosen by CCMS which is acceptable to the student. During this experience students gain valuable guidance in funeral home management and operation. To enter the CCMS B.M.S program, the student must graduate from the CCMS mortuary science curriculum at the AAS level.

The Bachelor of Mortuary Science Program consists of (5) Quarters, approximatley 18 months full time, and successfully passing the National Board Examination.

"This was a fabulous college to attend. I enjoyed everything about my experience there. I love my job and would definitely recommend the college to others. I hope to one day send my children there."
