When applying, the applicant who has only a high school or G.E.D. background needs to:
- Contact the high school from which graduated and request that an official high school transcript be sent to the Director of Admissions. Persons who have the G.E.D. should submit an official copy of the G.E.D. test scores.
- Persons who have attended college must contact any and all colleges and universities previously attended and have them send official academic transcripts of grades directly to the CCMS Executive Director, Enrollment Management.
- Fill out the CCMS application and send it to the Director of Admissions.
A non-refundable application fee must accompany the application form . Checks should be made out to the: Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science.
* The application fee will be increased to $40.00 effective January 1st 2009
- Submit the completed health certificate form (found in the latter section of the application.) Note: Hepatitis B immunization is recommended.
- Submit evidence of registration with and approval by your state board; if that is one of the prerequisites in your state.

After all the documents and application forms have been received, CCMS will make a decision with regard to the status of the application and notify the applicant within two weeks of receipt.
