Eric Urbanski - Bedford Michigan
A 4th generation CCMS student, Eric originally planned to become a computer engineer but changed his mind mid-way through his college education. While working at his family’s funeral home he felt drawn in by the experience of making a meaningful difference to people and decided to carry on his family’s traditions. Eric admits that the CCMS coursework is challenging and as demanding as medical school, but the faculty and staff is helpful and accessible. “Their personal experience in the funeral industry adds an important dimension to the classes, labs and other educational experiences.” With his own son on the way, Eric says he can imagine a fifth generation carrying on the important family tradition of applying the skills garnered at the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science to a successful and meaningful career in the funeral service profession.
