Job responsibilities:
Job Responsibilities: The primary responsibility for our Apprentices are to reach high standards of excellence in service to the families we serve, making Cremation Arrangements and complete respect and care to the deceased that families have placed in our care. The following are other responsibilities but are not limited to only these:
1. Work directly under the Licensed Funeral Director of our Cremation Society and Manager of our Crematory Facility
2. Will be the main apprentice supporting the Cremation Society
3. Coordinates communication with at-need families as specified by management and also assist in pre-planning cremations.
4. Understand the Cremation Society and per-need rules and regulations
5. Be knowledgeable of all programs/services offered by the Cremation Society and how it is different than a traditional funeral home.
6. To share after-hour call only for communication and phone calls, since embalming is not offered at the cremation society.
7. Follow strictly the Identification Process and paperwork designed to insure authenticity of the person being cremated.
8. Ensure that all required paperwork is completed timely and accurately
9. Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager
10. Complete the “On Boarding” training during the first 90 & 120 days assigned. A separate list will be provided.
11. Maintains a positive attitude
12. Attends all training sessions
13. Complete daytime transfers of deceased (evenings are covered by transfer staff)
14. Support the Pet Crematory Business as assigned by Crematory Manager
