Required experience (if any):
A Bachelor’s Degree including 12-month accredited mortuary school. May reciprocate license with a minimum 10 years’ experience as a licensed funeral director/embalmer in another state for education requirements. Valid Funeral Directors’ License in Ohio or the ability to reciprocate license. Passing of both sections of the National Board Exam (NBE) as per state requirements. A minimum of five years of similar or related experience.

Job responsibilities:
As Area Manager, you will direct and control operational activities for three dynamic funeral homes in Toledo, Ohio. The major objectives are to provide the highest quality services and products, to satisfy the needs of any client family, maintain a positive employee relations atmosphere, and maximize profitability for the location. Additional responsibilities include executing market outreach activities; oversee and ensure that the fiscal responsibilities of the funeral homes are completed as set forth by the Home Office; contracts, working funds, budgets and invoices; maintain the facilities, properties and vehicles to the high standards expected of Newcomer Funeral Service Group; manage associates by maintaining appropriate staffing levels, proper orientations of new associates, working with HR Business Partners (HRBPs) on performance management, utilizing payroll and timekeeping systems and implement and fully use all technology solutions provided by the company.
