Job responsibilities:
Job Requirements:
Work Monday-Friday 9 am - 5 pm (1 day off a week)
On call every other weekend (26 weekends a year) and holidays on a rotating basis
On call weeknights on a rotating schedule (M/W or T/R)
Removal of deceased from place of death during work day and on nights/weekends/holidays on call
Meet families and arrange for final disposition and setup desired services
Compose obituaries
Conduct funeral and memorial services
Prepare bodies
Complete necessary paperwork such as social security, death certificates, life insurance claim forms, etc. in a timely manner
Refrain from posting on social media about families we serve
Cleaning of prep room
Light cleaning of building in between families such as vacuuming, dusting, glass cleaning, steaming floors, etc.
Light outdoor work on occasion, i.e. washing a car, etc.
Meet with and complete necessary documents for prearrangements
Good communication with staff and organizational skills
Answering telephone calls and computer data input
Scan pictures and working with other digital equipment
Taking inventory/Ordering
Maintain a WV license
