Join our growing and progressive community-oriented firm, where the care of our team members comes first. Our leadership are all CCMS grads as well. Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services has emerged as a market leader in just under a decade. Due to our steady and ongoing growth, we are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate apprentice or dual-licensed director to assist in all aspects of funeral service. From arrangements to embalming, directing ceremonies to dressing and casketing, this position is a great one for a director who truly enjoys all facets of funeral service. Compensation is based on experience with an hourly salary range of $22.50-$40/hr. being offered for this position. Overtime at 1 1/2 times your hourly rate after 40 hrs. Skorupski’s believes in you actually being paid for the time you work. Benefits: Medical/dental/vision for the employee and their dependent children, retirement with company match, 15 paid vacation days to start, along with 12 paid holidays, cell phone, and clothing allowance. Schedule: As strong proponents of work/life balance, our “once every third weekend on” followed by a three day weekend off rotating schedule has become quite popular. Only six days on call for the entire month, and never any after hours or night time removals/embalming required. Unlike other family-owned funeral homes, the opportunities for advancement at Skorupski’s are plentiful. For the “go-getter” looking to take their career to the next level and ascend into management, or the already corporate manager looking to get back to the basics of serving without all the bureaucratic red tape, this position is a great starting point. Relocation assistance is available if needed. We will also consider a resident trainee (apprentice) who has completed mortuary school and passed both sections of the NBE. Interested candidates should forward their cover letter and resume to peggy@skorupskis.com. All inquiries will be held in the strictest of confidence.
