Job responsibilities:
Thurman Funeral Home, located in Richmond, MO, with an additional chapel in Norborne, MO. Thurman’s is a progressive, prestigious, family owned funeral home with 100 years of service to families in Ray County, Carroll County, and the surrounding area; the funeral home all others are compared to in the area. We’re looking for the right candidate to continue Thurman’s legacy of outstanding service. For the right person, this could be the chance to own a very successful business in the future. The right person will know that funeral service is hard work and a demanding profession, with no room for mistakes and it’s not worth working your whole life for someone else. This person will ideally be a licensed Missouri funeral director and embalmer or able to reciprocate licensure from another state. However, we will consider an apprentice funeral director/embalmer for the position. As an apprentice, if you are the right person, dedicated and hardworking, eventual ownership could be yours.
Thurman Funeral Home offers competitive pay, benefits, a yearly bonus, paid time off, retirement plan, and an equal on call work schedule. A spacious 3-bedroom apartment above the funeral home is also available. Relocation assistance may be offered for the right person.
