Clinicians often come to grief training seeking tools to better support their clients—but what if those same tools could also support you?

Bearing witness to deep suffering while managing the demands of work and life can take a quiet but powerful toll. Even the most compassionate providers can feel overwhelmed, isolated, or unsure how to replenish what they give so freely to others. You are not alone—and there is a path forward that nurtures both your clients and your own well-being.

This interactive program includes real-world practices from Heather Stang’s Mindfulness & Grief System that can be used with clients and yourself to cope with the pain of loss, adapt to the changes, nurture continuing bonds, and rediscover meaning.

The tools shared in this session can be adapted to support clients facing all types of grief—not only death-related loss, but also the often-overlooked experiences of non-death, secondary, and disenfranchised loss.

At the heart of this session is an invitation to walk the talk. When we engage in the same practices we offer—whether it’s mindfulness, movement, journaling, or ritual—we embody our work in an authentic, sustainable way. Like we hope for our clients, we too can become more grounded, more compassionate, and more resilient.

Join us to explore how to care for ourselves with the same intention we bring to those we serve.
