Serving our community for over one hundred and forty years, the Leavitt Funeral Services and Crematory brand is built and maintained by a team of professionals who embody the value of - families first. Our family-owned funeral home, with four locations, is seeking a high functioning Funeral Apprentice who embodies this core value to join our experienced team of professionals. If you have completed your mortuary schooling, we may want to speak with you.
We are desiring to only speak with high functioning Funeral Apprentices who are looking for a funeral home that:
-highlights the true profession of a funeral director
-has created and continually supports an atmosphere that lives and breathes the value: families first
-wants their funeral directors and apprentices to create personalized funerals and provide complete ----respect and care to the deceased
-values active listening skill
-understands critical dedication necessary to the profession
Primary Role
The primary role of a Leavitt Funeral Apprentice includes, but is not solely limited to :
-Assignment to families and responsibility for carrying out all details surrounding the planned funeral, including overseeing any gathering and the funeral.
-Perform the standard duties associated with being an embalmer, including taking night call on a rotating schedule with the fellow members of your embalming team.
Specific Focus
The Leavitt Funeral Apprentices have four key areas of focus:
-Technical - Executing at the highest level of skill, offering respect and dignity of care for the deceased during transfers, identification, preparation, embalming, cosmetology, and restoration.
-Family Relations - The Leavitt Funeral Home Cycle of Excellence is reassuring families, giving them a sense of comfort, and well-being while providing directions through the arrangement and funeral process with an intense focus on communication accuracy and excellence.
-Case Management - Understanding the administrative side of funeral service such as contracts, documents, preneed forms, case management software, and other information requiring accuracy, follow through, and urgency.
-Services - Executing and implementing the choices requested by a family, is what that family will remember. A standard of excellence in the arrangement and coordination of visitation, service, burial/cremation, needed facilities and staffing is critical and essential to the Leavitt Funeral Home brand.
