Required experience (if any):
Mortuary school graduation or upcoming graduation with minimum associates degree and completion or readiness to complete NBEs and state rules tests. Ongoing enrollment through an online program is acceptable. Candidate must be willing to relocate to Glendive, MT, or Beach, ND, area. Eventual licensure in both MT and ND will be expected, and eventual crematory technician licensure in MT will be expected.
Job responsibilities:
Alternating night and weekend call time. Funeral director is expected to make removals, embalm, meet with families, and work funerals. MT cremation technician active status a plus; interest is preferred. Relocation assistance possible for right candidate. $35,000 to 50,000 annual Pay DOE and qualifications Relocation assistance Paid single health insurance Paid time off 15% 401K employer contribution (not match, employer contributes all, employee is welcome to add if they would like) Alternating weeknights and alternating weekends on call At least every other weekend off starting at noon on Friday

We are a privately owned firm that has 2 full-service locations and one additional chapel location. We serve eastern MT and western ND. We own our own crematory which is located in Glendive. We have main locations in Glendive, MT, and Beach, ND. We are primarily a rural area with ranching, agriculture, oil field, and railroad industry. Glendive and West Glendive, MT, are located on the banks of the Yellowstone River and have a population of about 6,000. Beach, ND, had a population of about 1,000. Hunting, fishing, outdoor hiking and trail biking are popular outdoor activities. Glendive is minutes from Makoshika State Park with Badlands, hiking, camping opportunities. Beach is located 25 miles from Theodore Roosevelt National Park and historic Medora, ND. Both Beach and Glendive are low-crime, family friendly cities with K-12 schools. There is a community college located in Glendive.
