Job responsibilities:
Taking first calls. Be on rotating on-call schedule. Making funeral arrangements with families Conducting removals Supervises and cares for the deceased in a respectful manner while performing a variety of tasks which include: Embalming, including verifying identification of the deceased and obtaining authorization for embalming Restoring Dressing, and/or applying cosmetics and any other preparation required for proper disposition of human remains Preparing cremated remains, including container selection, paperwork and identification procedures Any other preparation required for human remains Supervising the parking of cars Driving funeral vehicles Assisting at chapel and church services Assisting at the cemetery Delivering flowers, caskets, urns, photos and other personal keepsakes or momentos of client families Other duties, as required, including light maintenance and cleaning Ability to work in small office environment Compassionate, caring and good listener Good communication and computer skills Ensures adherence to all applicable professional, municipal, provincial/state and federal licensing authority, regulations, standards and rules.
