Student Body
Many students live and work in local area funeral homes during their time at CCMS. It's a great way to get hands-on experience, make connections, and earn money.
The document below lists funeral homes that generally offer opportunities to CCMS students - we cannot guarantee there will be an opening at any given time. Contact funeral homes individually to inquire about employment. Only accepted CCMS students should contact funeral homes on this list.

Demographics
Each year CCMS attracts students from all over the United States.
The typical student body contains representatives from 18-20 different states and will be approximately 20% male and 80% female (CCMS I.P.E.D.S.). The students are diverse in age, experience, and educational background. Ethnically, CCMS students are predominantly white with a percentage of Black/African American, Hispanic/Latino, and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander enrolled each year.
The diversity of students results in exposure to a national perspective on funeral service and to a broad perspective on life. With the growing online program, it is expected that CCMS students will become even more diverse and come from all parts of the U.S.!
The Student Handbook/College Catalog is designed to provide information and familiarize students with the following:
- Our history and the CCMS advantage
- Admissions process
- Tuition and financial aid
- Degree programs
- Standards of conduct
- Academic requirements
- Practices, policies, and procedures
Students are expected to adhere to the standards set forth in the Handbook. Failure to adhere to standards may result in disciplinary action up to suspension.
