Required experience (if any):
Experience you need to bring: • 2+ years of proven experience in making funeral arrangements with a family-first approach. • Proficiency in using funeral management software is a plus! • Compassionate, calm, and service-driven mindset. • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. Educational Requirements: • Degree from Accredited Mortuary Science Program plus additional college credits as required in the applicable state. In Minnesota you must have a bachelor’s degree (or credit equivalent). • Successful completion of the National Board Examination • Successful completion of the applicable State Board Examination • Dual Licensure (Embalming and Funeral Director) • Valid Funeral Director and Embalmer State Licensure • Valid Driver’s License
Job responsibilities:
What you’ll do: • Arrange and conduct funeral and memorial ceremonies in a professional, organized, and caring manner in keeping with company policies and procedures. • Educate and support families through service and merchandise options aligned with their wishes, traditions, and budget. • Meet with families to plan and coordinate funeral and memorial services with compassion and professionalism. • Build a strong relationship with the community through active involvement in area organizations and participation in charitable events. • Promote and maintain a safe and healthy work environment. • Ensure adherence to all professional, state, and federal licensing authority, regulations, and rules applicable to funeral service.
