Required skills (if any):
Proven experience in embalming, restorative arts, and decedent preparation. Knowledge of cremation processes and equipment. Valid state license or certification in mortuary science (as applicable in NC). Soft Skills: Compassionate and respectful demeanor. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong work ethic and reliability. Ability to work under pressure and handle emotionally challenging situations. Leadership qualities and ability to mentor team members. Flexibility to work varied hours, including on-call or emergency situations Valid NC driver’s license with a clean driving record. Ability to operate care center equipment safely and efficiently. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Job responsibilities:
Embalming & Preparation: Perform embalming, restorative work, and preparation of decedents in accordance with industry standards and company policies. Cremation Work: Oversee and perform cremation procedures, ensuring compliance with all safety and legal regulations. Transportation: Professionally transport decedents, ensuring dignity, safety, and adherence to protocols. Care Center Maintenance: Keep the care center clean, organized, and presentable at all times, maintaining a respectful environment. Service Support: Assist with service setup and breakdown when applicable, ensuring all arrangements are handled with care. Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate records, follow safety standards, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
