We are looking for a funeral director or an intern. This opening has come about due to the growth of our firm, as we take pride in keeping long-term employees. We are located in Terre Haute, Indiana. We currently operate two funeral homes, one being a low-cost facility and the other a more traditional funeral home. We operate two retorts at the larger, traditional funeral home, as well as a pet cremation business. We have done a good job of keeping up with the changing market, thus the need for another FD. We will handle about 650 calls this year, but we have a very high cremation rate, with many of those being direct cremations.
We are willing to work with an intern or even a current student under the right circumstances. We offer competitive pay and a better schedule than most funeral homes. We are a family-owned funeral business established in 1925. An Illinois FD license would be a plus.
