$15-$20/hour depending on skill level and availability.

Enrolled in CCMS or learning about funeral service.

Microsoft office - word/excel proficient Online social media for obituary postings Some knowledge of the funeral process (school classes or experience) Valid drivers license & reliable transportation Ability to lift 75 lbs. Ability to climb stairs and assist with at-home removals. Ability to be on call. Pleasant & compassionate interpersonal skills for dealing with families.
Job responsibilities:
Sit in on family meetings and arrangements if available. · Assist in removals and embalming plus the prep work for cremation or casket services that ensue · Learn how to file paperwork and work the online DC website and follow our procedures · Assists for all types of services on & off site - flower & chair set up, front door greeter, memorials, etc. · Learn how to post and/or write obituaries and notices on website. · Work reception desk/answer phones when needed.

Batesville is a great place to raise a family, with a 4-star school system and great sports/recreational parks. It is an easy drive to Cincinnati or Indianapolis and we have a great local hospital system. It is an easy drive from here to CCMS about 50minutes if you are coming to or from class. Looking for someone who lives in Indiana or on the west side of Cincinnati. Possible apprenticeship as well or ability to develop into a full-time position.
