Required experience (if any):
Lead Funeral Director in Charge must be licensed for the state of Ohio with valid drivers license. You are not required to be dual licensed.
Required skills (if any):
Excellent communication skills, a team player and able to build relationships within the community and in the funeral home. You will be supported by an experienced support staff already in place and will be required to follow Best Practices set up by the company. You will exhibit good organizational and time management skills.
Job responsibilities:
You will have experience meeting with families to make arrangements, explain service options and casket selection, providing pricing information and preparing standardized contracts for services. You will direct funeral services and visitations, coordinating and instructing pallbearers, greeting and escorting clergy to chapel. You will prepare or oversee the preparation and issuance of permits and documentation associated with funerals and embalming: dc, permits, embalming report. Assist with removals and transportation of the deceased from home or hospital to funeral home.
