The Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home has an open position for a licensed funeral director (New York State or able to qualify for licensure in NYS). We are a busy family owned firm with a 15 year history of steady growth. (from 22 family per year in 2009 to 265 families per year in 2023). A position with our funeral home will be a secure career move for the right candidate.
A student about to complete their studies and in pursuit of a residency will also be considered. We have had very positive experience with residents in the past and are open to adding a resident/apprentice to our team as well.
Required skills (if any):
Licensee - embalming skills (willing to provide further training). Our goal is to train each staff member in all facets of funeral home operations - from transfers and preparations to arrangements and services. We value a well rounded staff member
Job responsibilities:
All normative funeral related practices with light housekeeping duties when necessary. We value the professional role of trained staff and work to see each staff member is given an opportunity to engage in all funeral related operations of the business.

A successful candidate for either position will be compensated based on work related skills and work ethic. We offer competitive salary and regular salary review.
